Jay Cohen has been appointed to the Supreme Court Screening Committee for the Judicial Nominating Committee and will Chair the 4th DCA Screening Committee which incorporates the 15th, 17th and 19th Judicial Circuits.

Jay Cohen has been appointed by the Florida Bar President to Chair the 17th Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee selection process.

Jay Cohen was a recent guest speaker at the 2009 Broward County Bench and Bar Conference at the Broward County Convention Center - topic: Abusive Trial Practices.

Once again, Jay Cohen has been named one of Florida Trend Magazine's Legal Elite for 2009, an honor he also received in 2008. He has been recognized as a Legal Leader in the specialty of civil trial work.

Jay Cohen is now an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas University – School of Law,  teaching medical malpractice.

Jay Cohen has been Invited to lecture at the Florida Justice Association’s conference held in Orlando, Florida on Friday, August 14, 2009 –  topic: “Direct Examination of an Expert Witness.”

Once again, Jay Cohen has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Personal Injury Litigation.

Super Lawyers magazine has once again named Jay Cohen to its list of "Super Lawyers." An announcement of the 2009 listing will be published in The Herald December 26, 2008. Super Lawyers is a listing of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Jay Cohen has also been named one of "The Best Lawyers in America" for 2009. This is the second year in a row he has received this recognition.

Jay Cohen serves as a member of The Florida Bar Board of Governors.
